Teaching Studio
Nathan is an extremely dedicated and passionate music educator. He teaches the student not the method. Nathan is sensitive to each student's unique interests and way of learning. From pedagogical and educational publications, to Suzuki group classes, adult education, and bi-annual student recitals; Nathan takes teaching seriously. Patience, compassion, and inspiration are essential in his approach and key in helping students achieve their full potential.

Classical Guitar
Nathan has been teaching guitar for over 25 years. He holds Associate, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees in Classical Guitar Performance. Nathan studied with some of the finest performers and pedagogues in the world of guitar, including Ricardo Iznaola, the Castellani-Andriaccio Duo, Lorenzo Michelli, Oscar Ghiglia and Pierre Bensuan.

Suzuki Guitar
Nathan was the first Suzuki Certified Guitar Instructor in Maine and has over 15 years of Suzuki teaching experience. Nathan founded and continues to direct the Guitar program at the New England Suzuki Institute. Nathan is not only a Suzuki teacher, but was a Suzuki violin student from ages four to eleven. Nathan integrates Suzuki methodology with other innovative and traditional pedagogical approaches to offer students a complete and well rounded music education.

A Teacher for Everyone
Nathan has experience teaching and performing classical, ethnic /modal, rock, jazz, folk, and popular music. He has directed Summer Camps and taught classes on everything from The Beatles, modal music, improvisation and song writing. His experience is broad and well informed.
